Does anyone make a Doka cover that could just cover the Bed while the Sides are up?

Think they might be called a "Taunna Cover" <= spelling?

Guess it wouldn't be too tuff for a Boat Canvas maker, just thought I'd check to see if one was offered, or packaged?
.

"tonneau" cover.

I'm sure Mr. BZ can make it as the originals used the same rectangular buckle holes as the canopy he is making now.

Has anyone tried to build a frame out of Black CPVC?

I need a cover, but I can't do $2000 right now.

You may also want to explore options with EMT conduit, it's affordable and I think you can rent a conduit bender pretty cheap. Since it's metal you'll have plenty of options for attachments, drill a hole and add a bolt. Seems like 3/4" would work pretty nice, maybe 1". Good luck.

canopy's are to easy to be slashed by thieves and prone to weather damage. save your coin and opt for something like this! If someone ever figures this out on this side of the pond, or finds a way to tag into someones shipping container. this would be the winner!

Ditto what SSWesty says - CPVC will be way to flimsy, I doubt it’s hold up at 30mph with canvas on it. Lots of folk use 1/2” & 3/4 PVC pipe for little garden greenhouses because it’s so flexible. A bit stronger then CPVC, but still not enough I’d think.

EMT metal conduit would be the cheapest strongest option, just trickier to find things like crosses and tees that fit (PVC, galvanized, copper?). Would have to browse a good hardware store for a bit.

I think those thieves are going to looking to take that pretty red doka underneath it! Very Happy

Would love to get my hands on one of those aluminum jobs!

I too would love to find a solution for my bed... have been giving thought to buying some heavy waterproof tarp fabric and sewing up a homemade tonneau.

We, at VW Upfitters, produce a nice rack for these trucks. It's intended to mount a platform tent and other camping supplies. It fits without any drilling or modification to the bed or the gates.
