OK here's a few.

Jack Seuferer's incredible "RubiconSyncro" makes it's debut at SyncroFest. This van is without a doubt the coolest most modified VW camper I have ever seen. Not enough room to list all the cool stuff on this van. Jack is one of the very few people out there who can and does build what he dreams.

I love this bus. Not only was this van imortalized in a puma commercial but it was also owned by Warren Chapman and restored by Marco after he passed. Cool!

Fully loaded syncro westy. 4 bikes and a bike trailer. A baby, a dog, 3 cats and the nicests folks arrived in this sweet rig. (wish I could remember thier names, I've got it all written down but all my notes are still out in the van.

Good eye BlackDogVan. The axels were not done in time for the event. Like everything else on the van they require sime custom machine work. The van is a syncro though.

SyncroFest was a blast! I did not take many photos as I was having too much fun. The carnage was limited to one van on its side, and one broken rear axle, afaik.

The weather was perfect, the ground was slightly wet, so almost zero dust. Cold at night, but lots of bonfires.

Here is a random few pictures
http://s974.photobucket.com/albums/ae228/jon_slider/SyncroFest%202011/

One kid in a 200 dollar 2wd decided to bash it up in the quarry. He drove home, I was amazed. He went down a hill that was so steep his rear tire was in the air.. I think he would have won the Huevos Grandes, or Pocos Sesos award, had there been one.

Eric to the rescue

Thats what I figured; the primer is a giveaway for a WIP project too. I bet it was a last minute thrash to get it there. Hoping for more pictures of that rig, anyone get some engine shots?

I don't have any more shots of that rig but I can tell you that from the rear it resembles a hummer for ground clearance. A dry sump system made a oil pan unnecessary from what i had gathered at the fire rings giving it massive rear clearance.
I have much respect for people that have the vision/skills to take on projects and get them out the door. Applause

Thanks for taking the time to show me where the pass through to the frame rails are and telling me about the piece blocking it. I dug up your flicker folder and looked over the pictures too. I am going to build some shackle points for front recovery that go through there and leave the impact strip intact.
Funny thing is my 11 year old out of the blue asked me which of my cars can he have when he starts driving. He actually asked for the project syncro we call monster van Shocked I assumed he would want the sport compact or his own but this weekend's events have his wheels spinning into the syncro direction. LOST AND FOUND ALERT .

Looking for my LL Bean sleeping bag . It is a white cloth bag in a Plastic bag. It looks like it was left by the garbage can and probably dumper as such. Any way I am looking for a happy ending here. If you may have it let me know.
