Volkswagen Utility Vehicles Heritage in Hannover has two 16" single Cabs.
One in yellow it was used by the German telecom as a cable car for installing power lines, and they have a grey one, a pre series 16" single cab, used as a garbage truck in the Wolfsburg facilities.
Both are not in running condition, they're waiting for a restauration. _________________ Regards

One has just popped up on mobile.de
7,000 isn't cheap but it's a TD and looks in fairly good condition.
It's obviously had a Tischer camper body on the back as the back of the cab has been converted to have a doorway.

Can someone who's spent more time working with the Sinka/Doka models explain why VAG chose such an inelegant bed/hatch for these models? I'm trying to understand why they didn't work harder to integrate a recessed metal hatch instead of that half-assed raised wooden thing that must've vexed so many commercial customers who attempted to slide some heavy piece of equipment that became stuck on that raised hatch. _________________ Casey--

When the missing wood bed slats are in it is a non-issue. |

And another one pops up!
Currently on ebay.de but here is a photo of it.
It's a 2.1 petrol. Needs some welding and general TLC but it's good to see another one still around.
Interesting that the seller is listing it as one of 66, not 30 or so that is the generally accepted figure.

Hello Tino!!
Welcome to The Samba and thank you for posting about your Syncro 16 Single Cab.
Will you bring it to Syncro 30 in Berlin next year?
Do you have any more photos of it? We'd love to see it.
