I'm trying to remove my front door windows. I had the Bentley in front of me while trying to do so. There must be a step or two not listed. I searched many pages here to no avail. Can someone post a link to a past thread or offer some advice not found in the Bentley? Thanks. |

first remove the long felt channel
then drop the window off the lifter after removing the two bolts that fasten it
then remove the rear lower channel guide, and push window to the rear
then remove the upper and lower screw and bolt from the vent wing
remove the inner scraper
remove the vent wing
remove the window glass

hit the glass with a 4 pound sledge.
you didn't mention whether or not you wanted to save the glass. _________________ thebucket: I invested in hoodride, now DBD won't return my call?

Thanks Dan. But Mr. Negativity is NEVER WRONG! However I do have to question his tool of preference.
I think a 16lb BFH might work better.
Really, I do want to save the glass, and I'm putting in a much nicer ones. |

yeah, he had the answer to the trick question.
BTW i like the photo. the shadow of the hammer's operator gives it that sinister look- like when they do those silhouette interviews of whistleblowers "who requested not to be identified on film." |

What a bunch of cavemen! working on a fine German car requires finesse and precision tools, I'd use a 1 lb ball peen hammer for jobs like that
