I'm putting together another 2332 and need some advice on carb set up.
Specs are:
Dry sumped 2332
9.5 -10:1 comp 54cc chambers .040 deck
Wedgeports 44x37.5 w/ matched manifolds
FK-87, Pauter 1.4s
48 IDFs, 40mm vents
1 /34 merged
I know the basics for getting mains, airs and idles. I have a bunch of emusion tubes and was more wondering what to run for them. Right now there are F7s but I have F2 and F11s. How would larger vents affect drivability? Thinking of Jaycee 42mm vents. Also we're at 1400 feet, summer air is commonly around 1600-1700ft
Thanks, brad |

I hope you read my last post in the 2017 IDF,IDA,Dell thread. Dont use the F11's as I was told, you will lose mileage. That engine is going to need to breath. 70 idles, 170 mains, 200 airs with F7's. Larger vents might require you to spin up some rpms before you get the port velocity your heads might like. Only way is to run the 40's drive it and then experiment with the 42's and upjet.
Eventually Id like to run a 1 3/4 exhaust on my 2276. Modok believes I can pull a bit more power out. Your 2332 combo is a nice set up for a rubber burner. If you think you can run 55 idles on this like John usually recommends, im sorry your going to be in for a rude awakening. _________________ 2276 IDA's 86C 11-1 DD !

You might as well put 10 year build in your bullshit sig, as it will NEVER run. Also your a dick |

Thanks.
I've got an 1 3/4 on my current 2332 with oval port 044s 42x37.5 and a 130/1.25s love the sound. It's probably a bit big but I like the looks and sound. I'm actually running an open super trapp muffler (no diffusers or cap) and it's pretty quiet. When I wa running .040 deck it had a beautiful crisp bark, but then I chickened out when I pulled the heads and thought I saw signs of piston touching head, and shimmed it another .030. Turns out it was a stuck float causing the half moon marks on the pistons so will probably pull the shims when I recam the motor.
