Oversized tires on 15 in.wheels

I bought my 63 EZ camper in 1969 ,,second owner,,,...I think the tires are oversized...It came with G78-15...I think that converts to P 215/75 R15...
Anyway,, the spare tire will not fit behind the seat...My question is....What size tire will fit on my 15 in. rim and will fit in the spare tire spot ???

Not sure any larger tire sizes will fit in the spare tire well without being deflated though.
