|
|
I have a set of mesh rims, kinda like enkeis, and am currently cleaning them up. I'm considering painting them. My question is does anyone have a photo of a bug with gold mesh rims and polished barrels. I know there is a set and a half for sale, on the samba, right now, so someone has done it before.
Already have done a selecta image, I just want to see the real thing. _________________

Here's a set of 16x7/8" BBS wheels that I bolted on for a peak. Not too sure about gold centers, but all silver (super chrome powder coat) would like fine.

I do really like the gold centers, but I think I will just leave them polished. They just look funny on a bug. Thanks for the help. _________________

whats the offsets on the gold wheels? running wide fenders? |
If you are asking me, then:
16x7" ET23 front and 16x8" ET11 rear. The fenders are CCCraft 2.5" front and 1.25" rear. I am leaning towards a 195/55/16" front and 205/55/16" rear tires. The rear wheel is at the fender lip when suspended, but keeping in mind the camber as it's loaded on the ground and current 2.5" drop, it will tuck nicely with a 205. |

I would like the gold as well if it was the correct shade. Mine have been spray bombed by the PO and the color is hidious Krylon Gold. (just for reference) Now, looking at the red GL a few posts up, that looks just fine. Since mine need refinishing, they just might get the polished lip/black centers. |

I think black would look good too, with the polished lips.

I agree. Black will definitely look good on mesh rims. |

Going to Town Fair for some new meats and I will roll it out for a pic or two. If the soft thawed earth allows without a mud bog! |

Now I don't mind the gold centers as much.
