The question is exactly as stated... Does anyone have any info?
Ie, how common, how much interest, ect.
I havent seen autostick empi stuff very frequently and thought I could find some additional information within the empi collectors on the samba.[/quote] _________________

This makes no sense. The autostick came with a so-called IRS rear suspension, not swing axles, so there is no need for a camber compensator.
Maybe it's just a rear anti-roll bar? |

I'm having problems uploading from my phone but the box reads "empi camber compensator
Rear stabilizer bar
For 1968-9 automatic stick shift vw sedan (type 1)"
I also couldnt quite make sense of the applicTion bit it seems to look like a rear anti roll bar. Just something I haven't seen. Looks like I'll prob put a set or two in the classifieds this week. _________________

Is it Z- bar or a anti- roll bar. Anti roll bar should not make any difference weather auto stick or manual. the Z-bar, I don't know. It is not a camber compensator. Post photo when you can, please.

Maybe shoulda stopped reading at "empi..."
I can believe "rear stabilizer bar" but not "camber compensator."
There is a demand for good rear anti-roll bars, if coupled with a stiffer front bar. Try posting a pic, and we can be sure.

A number of EMPI boxes had camber compensator stickers on them even if the product inside wasn't one. My NOS bumper stiffeners for example had this.
Find the part number sticker and post that up. |

So nothing in text is a sticker, all printed. Its hard to tell untill I can get a better pic but the application (autostick) is under the word camber.

So maybe EMPI registered the name "Camber Compensator" as a trademark, not a part description?

Nice picture Lids, never saw a bar mounted that way. The S.A.W. bar of course mounts the other way. I still don't know why there would be any difference between a manual and auto-stick.

Sweet ad! Yeah I have the hcca-140. Never seen a nos one. I found 3 complete nos kits in the box and one bar by itself. I have much better pics of everything and the instruction sheet but it won't let me uplooad... I'm workin on it. _________________

Yea, that add is cool and after enlarging it I read it and there is no differance between Auto-stick and Manual as it fits both.
