I was curious about that too. I don't know if the nostril screens are originally body color.

The car received a coat of paint during its live. So propbably that the grills were repainted at that time.
However, interior paint is original with no fading.

Either way, it still looks great.

Let me know when you are tired of it.

No biggie, was just curious. The car is in incredible condition even with a touch-up. Must have been a very big zip-loc bag! I'm jealous Cool

Really great car. Love that shot of the radio speaker. Does anyone know of someone who re-cones speakers? My 58 has a different shape speaker. Congrats on such a beautiful keeper.

Yes, a company named Audiolight, but they are a store-front shop in Detroit Michigan. You may be able to find someone closer.

the picture of the speaker made me want to get mine re-coned....i called the place there in detroit, thanks for the post, but he needed to see it in person. so i got a wooden mount, there are some for sale here on the samba, and put it in today with a regular bug speaker, worked out really nice.

Some times I did not posted on my post...

Looking at some different discussion topics on getting bulkhead mats reproduced, I need help on confirming the color of the mats that should go into my car?

If someone could help me to answer this?

As reference my lowlight is from July 1959.

Thanks in advance for help.

Sounds like a joke, but why not share your competances (SamBerr74) with Lemke, perhaps it will help those mystics bulkhead mats be finaly reproduced.

That's him who owns the complete original sample piece I referenced in your Thread.

Years now that we all hope, but it never concluded to something concrete.

What is sure, the 1st one who get this done, I will be on the order list.

My lowlight is just missing this and the mats on the heather channels to be back tp complete.

Yes, with all due respect to Lemke and what he has been able to accomplish, it has been a long wait for the missing pieces. Maybe collaboration would be the way to go.
