Again, sorry to threadjack but I have another question. If drop spindles lower the front 2.5 inches, how low can you adjust a narrowed adjustable beam w/o spindles? Is it about the same or can you go a little lower with just an adjustable beam?
Can't decide which way to go, I know I want to go lower than 2.5 inches in the front, but I don't want to go "crazy" low either. |
Sounds to me drop spindles are what you want then. I think you can get about 4" of adjustment out of a beam, 2" up, 2" down. I use the adjusters to lift the car, I put them in at max lower. Then you can go from max drop and work your way up. |

What's the price on a 3" with towers?
Had the 5" on a laid out '61, going a different way with my '58. More of a true California Look, and a 2" will not work with my brakes, spindles and wheels. |
I no longer do shock towers... I don't run them,so I don't sell em.
Do you need shocks? Is asking is the glass 1/2 full or 1/2 empty.
Sorry man. |
Yeah, I need shocks. I plan on running a big motor and be some what of a strip car too. So I think it would be best to have them. _________________ 1959 Ragtop Beetle - sold

Get one from KCW. They do amazing work and will build to your specs. I did a 4" with adjusters. I am running 4.5 Fuchs up front with disc brakes and they also built the beam with shock towers but that is about as narrow as you can go with shock towers. $575 for everything. |

So then I'll want both, right? Narrowed adjustable with spindles.....That way I'll have a total of 4.5" max drop and I can go up from there. If I understood correctly. _________________ 61 Bug....Black on red.

My 5" beam was a KCW unit, back in '05, when they were using stock beams to build with. That car rode awesome! This car is going a different route. I think I might just convert a CB 2" into a 4". Most cost effective way. _________________ 1959 Ragtop Beetle - sold
