Who else out there is using the social network? I am, and have a few other Samba
members as friends. Hey I'd even have at least one more friend if RMW would confirm me.
That's ok, I guess we all can't be friends. I know from looking at all the different people
that folks are friends with. That have VW as well as Vanagon themed Walls.
There must be more Samba folks using it.
Just wondering?

To quote a cynical, close friend/co-worker..."I'm not here to make friends....but if I happen to...that's ok."
Not a facebooker myself...but maybe if I was I could say I had more than 2 friends.

Under the control panel at the top of the Samba, it all depends on what your privacy setting on Facebook are.

We use it a lot for the club and for VW stuff, I like it... I have re established some very old friends and it is a rewarding experience.

Yup, Canadian and American, and passable Aussie and British as well All English, but juuust different enough to make technical phone conversations difficult if your dialects didn't overlap (guess what I did for a living for a bunch of years

| Good luck. I had to sign up in order to contact a Slovenian friend during the World Cup and never use it but frequently get friend notifications from folks I've never heard of and one or two that I have. |

I have never opened a Facebook account but I'm always getting email that someone wants to be my friend or that someone wants to contact me. I just treat them as junk.
Question: My knowledge of getting around the Internet is little to none existent so tolerate me. Is there a way that you can check to see if you have an account? Is there a way to look around and learn, etc... without signing up? Do you pick a user name or a real name? Thanks |

Its just spam, You have an account when you make an account, Use your real name, its not fake like Myspace was.
