That looks promising. The only thing I'd be worried about is having your phone out in the elements during a ride.
Something else promising about this is if you want a bigger screen, you can get a Barnes and Noble Nook Color. It's basically a smaller Ipad, but it runs on android. We bought my wife one and I hacked it to give it full use of the Android Marketplace so it will run almost any app. The bad thing about that is the Nook doesn't have a GPS. |
Dave...The other thing is that the Nook Color doesnt have bluetooth either. |
A better alternative would be the Lenovo Ideapad A1 which is just out. Same 7" screen as nook color, but also gps, bluetooth, wifi, microSD slot, front and rear cameras, full android market out of the box, and only $200. Although it was announced for sale a few days ago I just checked Lenovo's site and it shows temp unavailable. Definitely one to keep an eye on if looking for a 7" android tablet. _________________ -Dan

$300 for the Ecotec, $75 for the Wire Harness and Computer, $300 to redo the harness and Flash the computer and install HP Tuners software.
Dan Built the whole car bumper to bumper originally. Was a Turnkey package he did for a customer. |
Lemme know when you flash that ECU with HP tuners... yer gonna have to "simulate" a couple of sensor inputs via resistor jumpers at the ECU connectors... HP tuners is a crap shoot at best. BEEN THERE!!! DONE THAT!!! |

Computer and Harness are done. Joe has done alot of them. They work perfect.
First you have to Flash the Computer empty, then rebuild with just what you want on the HP Tuners _________________ https://www.facebook.com/rdm.ecotecs/ |

I don't know if he used them or not, but check out enginewiring.com. Tom did mine and it looks great. Pretty reasonable if you consider the alternatives..
Also, just make a block off plate. It is also a good place in the future for accessories.. |

Life got in the way, sold my house and then switched jobs.
He is very good, but he doesn't listen to the customer. He did it his own way and I only had 3" of front end travel. Had to cut it apart and re fab it.
Are you looking for a basic cage? Lmk _________________ https://www.facebook.com/rdm.ecotecs/ |
