It looks even better now after having polished the paint.

I currently have a couple original paint Buses.

The first is a 75 Bus my Uncle bought practically new in 1975. Lotus White(?) over Orient Blue. To be perfectly honest, the nose has had a bump and needed repainting, but the repaint is in worse shape than the original on the rest of the vehicle.

The next is a 1979 Westfalia I recently picked up from Everett. The goal is to restore the interior, but I am still struggling with the idea of repainting or trying to touch up.

Paint decal:

The Westy just after purchase(thanks for the pic Russ!):

Great thread! Bump! Wink

p.s. I for one LOVE the before and after pics! I hope we see more of those! Also (getting selfish here), my bus is Lotus White 1970 but old original, dull paint. I'd love some before and after waxing inspiration (would love to save the original paint)! Any white would do as an example. Just sayin'...

I'll add to the OG freshness.
Driver's side rear quarter is bondo'd and repainted, it's a close match. It bulges just a little bit and its starting to crack. The stripes are losing their color as time goes one.

I won't ever repaint it I don't think. Dent's too big, and I'd lose my OG stripes.

I will however, keep it polished and shiny when its running again!

Don't think I ever posted in this thread.
Here's mine. Not the best picture, but it's all OG on the Driver's side.

And I'm a sucker for a clean rear deck. Nice to see that unfaded original paint!
