Hi guys!

I came back from a weeks skiing holiday and my bug wouldn't start, cranks over strongly but has no life in it whatsoever!

So I was thinking it was my compufire electronic ignition replacement module. I've tried another ignition coil and it's not that.

What would you suggest it is? I just want to be sure before buying a new electronic ignition module!

Thanks

Tom

Put a set of points in and if it works, the module is dead.

I don't have a set of points to try it, is there any other possible way of testing?

make sure you have 12V on + side of coil, then touch and release a ground wire to - side. Coil should fire each time you remove the ground wire.

As you're finding out you should always keep a set of points as a spare for just in case.
