It took me a good 10 minutes to wrap my head around the idea that the shift coupler was under a plate on the bottom of the car. |
Ill be right over, soon as I get through most of Texas, NM,AZ and that shitty LA traffic |
Dude, meet me half way in PHX this weekend! I will pay for your entrance to the show and you can help me search for the parts I need. |

I can't sit and "admire" anything. I learn as I go and those who are gracious enough to take the time to teach me are much appreciated. That being said, you need a helper? Juuuussssst kiddin' I will never master the art of bodywork. I would be a hack with a paint gun in my hand. |

Yes its rustoleum primer with clear coat. Closest I could find when in a can when I did it. _________________

Today's progress wasn't very picture-worthy but I did get some things done.
Painted the engine bay. I also drained and refilled the transmission.
I also painted the shocks. That blue was killing me.
I decided to check out the fuel line from the tank......not good. I used an old throttle cable on the end of a drill to break through some of the build up. I got about halfway through. I keep pumping acetone in the line to eat the varnish.
After work tomorrow, I plan on bolting the shocks on and that should complete the rear end until the brake shoes are done and the cylinders arrive.
I pressure washed the front beam but I might pull the beam and see what can of worms that opens up |
