Daily driver is a 2002 Acura RSXS. My wife drives a 2011 TDI Jetta Sportwagen. For fun, I drive this on some weekends.

The other fun car for the past 30 years:
And its garage companion for the last 10 years:
Since there appears to be many on this forum who weren't yet born when these cars were built: they're Triumphs from Coventry England. The red one is a 59 TR3A and the green one is a 64 TR4.
Most of our travels are in the Westy though we do get in a couple of 1000 mile roadtrips in each of the Triumphs every year. |

The 32B Passat syncro (badged Quantum in the US, I believe) wasn't a syncro, but rather a quattro in disguise. Highly desirable. |

1965 Mustang
Got it for my 18th birthday from my grandfather who was the original owner. It used to be a 6cyl 3 speed but it's now a roller cam 302 with a T5 transmission and a 9 inch rear, it's a lot of fun and I hope to always hold onto it.
Unlike some of you guys, my Vanagon is my daily driver/work rig/hauler and the mustang is my weekend/fun car.[/img] |

Yeah, I used to call them an Audi 4500. The Syncros I was referencing were '90's era rigs _________________ Casey--

2001 xterra.
The engine in my old air-cooled westy crapped out right before a road trip to la manzanillo Mexico. So we took the xterra.
Also besides the two syncros we have a 2004 jetta tdi. Which gets more use the higher fuel prices get _________________ 89 Bostig powered syncro westy

Love it, and I'd love to have one.
I was driving our '95 Plymouth Grand Voyager until the gas prices began climbing and switched to my wife's '05 Civic. The Westy sometimes gets driven on Fridays to make my weekend seem like it's beginning earlier.
I just got an '89 Honda Pacific Coast motorcycle and this is my second day commuting on it, and I'll be selling my '82 Yamaha XV920 RJ to make room for the PC. |

Yup, Passat G60 Syncro in Canada during the 1992 and 1993 model years. They are rare and many have been used as donors for Mk2 Syncro conversions, but they exist in sedan and wagon versions. They're cool cars.

The ultimate od for a2's was do a awd conversion and g60 engine conversion. There is a company in Holland that sells the bits to do this as well as converting from syncro to the modern haldex system found in the r32. I think the company is dutchbuild.com _________________ Cars owned: 1979/89 scirraco, 1983 gti, 1984 gti, 1986 gti, 1990 gli, 1989 cabriolet(2.0,16v conversion), 1992 gti, 1982 Westy, 1987 syncro Westy(w/ 1.8t conversion stg1 chip), and finally 2004 r32.... |

Same here.
1991 Civic wagon
oh.. and my transport of choice on my side of the hill...
1980 Champion single-speed beach cruiser (semi restored, but can't locate decals)
1987 Bianchi Grizzly (not much left original on it.. except some paint)

Not thrilling, but:
02 Toyo Corrolla - wife's DD (solo commuter)
97 Taurus Wagon "Green Pig" - my DD (carpool, once/week) & occasional scenic cruiser
The Taurus was our original family road trip rig before we got the van...MAN, I got tired of setting up & tearing down that tent!
We've only had the van about 3 years & of course it's now our ONLY option for roadtrips. <family fun!>
(Still use tent for wilderness canoe camping...gotta get dirty somehow!)

The van and the Porsche are daily drivers, the van usually wins for my 7 mile commute. If I had to sell a car it would be the porsche over the van.
Here are a few of the things I drive:
Both of the boats

Who cares what else you drive?
That's not why this forum exists. I'm surprised it wasn't wiped by the moderator.
Go ahead, start shooting. I'll open a thread about my sailboat and see how long THAT lasts. _________________ '90 White Westy ("The Longship")

COOL!
In fairness I think the OP was after VWs and similar, though... not beach cruisers and Vespas.
I see nothing wrong with these types of threads.. regardless how "technical" this fourm is supposed to be.. it is also a social outlet, of sorts. And they provide some backgorund on the regular contributors.
Nothing wrong, in my opinion, with a little chat now and then.. so long as it does not devolve into politics.
Sabot 8.. long gone.. looking for an El Toro
Santana 27.. sold to hippies in Redondo Beach
Hobie 16.. in pieces in the garage and yard
J-35.. sold to Corvette drivin' wild man in Hawaii
Moore 24.. on a trailer in the club yard

I understand that.
I drive a 1996 F-150standard cab long bed, with a straight six on a daily basis, but that's not why the Vanagon/Eurovan forum of the Samba is here. _________________ '90 White Westy ("The Longship")
