What is the best conversion anyone has done to put amber rear indicators on a barndoor without drilling the body or adding additional lamps ?
I've seen a video of someone thats put LED units inside the original lamps but there are no details on how this was done .
I have to pull out wide to turn left into my narrow drive and am getting fed up with the A**holes that can't figure out my flashing red indicators and drive up on the inside of me ,even when it's pretty obvious the van is a little older than most of the vehicles on the road.
I don't want to spoil the originality of the van with additional lights ,but with such a small rear window dont think putting small amber lights in there will help.
Any ideas please?
Rich.

you could put additional large amber turning signals in the lower corners of the back glass.
I have driven a lot of red blinker cars in Europe and know exactly what you mean, what a hassle and absolute danger !! I don't do red turn signal anymore since decades. you can always put some amber accesory lights under the rear bumper, or mount them with straps with the reflector threads or bumper or rear engine splash pan bolts and run the wires below the rear corners. Not a beauty I know. I built yellow ultra bright 15pc LEDs under my all red oval taillight lenses, and they are brightly amber in total, but it needs cutting the original reflector/ bulb holder and while the ovals are 2 piece redish glass and red celluloid and the celluloid can be cut for the leds, the BD is only single dark red and I have no idea if the Leds would make them look amber. in addition the LEDS would take over most space of the tiny BD lenses and who knows if stop and taillights will suffice?
Will have to find out all of that. I have been looking for a BD solution for some time also, let's see if I can come up with something

Check out my oval conversion:
