Ooh. Shiney! How would we go about getting hold of one of these?

Also, as you have everything on CAD, it would really simplify installation if you could make a PDF drilling template with badge outline overlaid with the pin locations.

Good idea Clift, shouldn't be a drama.
They are getting closer to being available, but I am having a few dramas at the moment in regards to material quality. So at this point chroming is still being looked into, unfortunately this will bring the price above the fast forward product.

I like the stainless, but I'm sure there are those that will go for the chrome bling.

Is the idea that these will be fitted using stainless starlock washers, or glued, or both? If they aren't already then perhaps the pins could be sized to work with a starlock washer so that people have the choice - probably 2mm or 3mm would work.

Currently the pins on the rear are the same placement as the original and are 2mm in diameter. How you fasten them is up to the individual. The tinnerman nuts used on the original are cheap and plentiful, surely there is a stainless alternative. But right now I am concentrating on getting the first batch out the door.
. On that note they are now in the process of being chromed and should be available in the states next month.

The advantage Clift of the 3D print is if you have a specific requirement for say, the size of the pin or placement of the pins (perhaps some numpty drilled holes in you van in the wrong place) in a few minutes that can be altered to suit.

Sounds ideal. I'm guessing tinnerman nuts are very similar to starlock washers in the way they work

Any thoughts about availability for the UK?

Sorry Clift I didn't realise you were in the UK, that should not be a problem really, just a matter of time.
Ideally they need to be purchased in lots of 20 otherwise the price for plating gets out of control in singles. A fellow in the states was just the first to put his hand up to distribute.

Once the details are complete and a true costing can be established, I will advertise in the samba classifieds the single unit cost.

I got the message from Otis. I'm traveling this weekend and haven't had a chance to answer all my messages.

Me thinks there will be an ample supply of them at Syncofest this weekend. A little birdie told me that the plastic gods have been busy.

Yes, I got a couple of those as well. The only thing is that they are missing the mounting pins for those that want the original style.
