I have a manual tranny and I changed the reverse switch on the tranny
Still mo luck. Wires look good at conections. Fuse is good Any ideas
?

i would start by putting a volt meter or test light on the switch terminals themselves while someone else puts it in reverse. if that fails do the same test with an ohmmeter to test continuity. if you have continuity when in reverse, but no voltage then the switch is good, but power to the switch is faulted somewhere.

about to tackle this today as well. Mine works but only in certain position. mechanic told me to remove the washer on the switch, which puts it in closer contact.

Take apart your tailights and clean up the bulb holders

Unplug the wires from the switch, plug them to each other. The lights should go on.
I had a problem with the connectors on mine, which I found after trying two switches.

For the switch:you can repair the switch,there are to tiny little points inside that get corroded.You cut with a dremel to open the seam,sand the contacts and then close it back together with jb weld or equivalent

I took an extra washer off the switch and it works fine. It must
Not have been making contact.
