|
|
Just picked up a 1964 11 window. My first bus. I also traded some Thing parts for a front bench seat. But once I removed the strange bucket seats installed, I found these tracks instead of what I thought would be there.
There are adjuster tracks in the center and a guide rail on the outside of the drivers and passenger side. I dont even see any signs of the hinge mounts like I've seen on other busses.
Any help here?
Thanks
Andy |

Any more pics? I currently have a W/T on my 63, but my 66 was a bench. I cannot make out anything in that pic. _________________ Kevin Albrecht

looks like a split bench to me, the inner 2 passenger mounts are gone. Yank that other seat out and this SHOULD be there, the 2/3 part doesnt adjust, just tips forward to get to the spare.

You will see what you need advertised as 1/3 and 2/3 front seats. The driver seat ("1/3") is the same (63-67) for walk through and bench seat buses. It is adjustable as evident by the rail setup. The passenger side("2/3") is a set in deal. Check the FAQ and gallery for pics. _________________

Thanks for the info guys. I searched for different seats but didn't find anything useful. I was half expecting to be belittled by the split crowd for my ignorance.

I was in the same boat, my bus was a late 80s early 90/s custom, had some nasty high back buckets out of a toyota or something and the stupid POs cout out the 3 center seat mounts

the flag was so saggy it would touch the top of your head in the back seat, the bulkhead was actually a "sub box" I laughed my ass of ass I took it out, the brainiac that built it used 2x2 wood for a frame and then instead of MDF or even plywood they used strips of wood moulding and to top it off it was halfway full of tiny styrofoam balls, and yes there are 2 somewhat round holes cut into the bulkhead for 10" subs thats all long gone though, even the styrofoam sheets and house insulation that was crammed everywhere including IN the doors |

Can we get a close up of the splatter paint dash please
The answer to your question, check your vin number, the split seat started with chassis number 971 550 which would have been July 63 start of the 63 model year. _________________ 63 15 window deluxe Turkis walk through 1500
