i finally got my Lemke mats and they improve my interior quite a bit. also note the wheel skin, this helps a lot if you want to keep your steering wheel original.[/img]

I hear he was very happy with the trade John. Wink

The mats look good...Mr Lemke is an artist...I'm waiting for the bulkhead mat before ordering the whole set.

Ugh! I wouldn't do a lot of that. Ohio loves using salt on their roads. Most folks I know from OH have two cars: a nice summer car, and a winter beater that's usually a pitiful rust box from all the road salt. Sad

I hear you Mr. Bill, I love my car, I have been rinsing the salt off, I rarely drive it when there is salt.

Ahhh you can't drive them all at the same time. Confused My Beetle went when my Ghia arrived and my 15 window a few years later. Old VWs don't like being left outside in cold, wet winters but I can understand you missing them. Sad

Thanks John, well...a restoration would be a lot of fun, but I have come to really like this car as it is....now if an antelope brown low light came up for sale, I would consider selling the dolphin blue, and restoring the brown....after seeing most of the color combos now on the samba, I like the brown the best.

Yes it's a dilemma, what to leave and what to change. I can't blame you for wanting an Antelope Brown/Dark Brown Lowlight. Not many around though. Sad

If you click on the picture you will be redirected to photo bucket and see some nice shots of the restoration of that car, looks like he used a studio for those shots, really cool.

X2!

Now I'd like to see a picture of an Antelope Brown Ghia parked next to a Cognac Ghia so I can once and for all decide which one I like best. Smile

BTW, what is that object mounted to the side of the Ghia just below the antenna?

Looks like a fog light from a Mercedes, my Dad had a 63 190 D that had those on the sides, he called them fog lights.
