Here's a few of mine. We have a VW themed powder room where they live. Still have 3 large boxes of VW toys I have not unpacked since I last moved 10 years ago. THis thread makes me want to unpack them.

I like to say we visit model train clubs for our son.. but honestly, I dig it as much if not more.

Miniatur-wunderland is like the mecca of modeling.. Its crazy what they've done. Scale working roller coasters.. log boat rides.. ski slopes and lifts.. stuff like that. I think they even modeled a rock concert.
I wonder who is playing.. Some euro-beat techno band? Laughing

Hope to see it in person someday.

I also think they buy out all the VW bus models.. since they are ALWAYS backordered at the usual suppliers. hmmm..

"Yeah. I came here.. all the way to Europe.. to look at your model trains"

Since your mileage is obviously very low, you probably won't have to worry about VANAGON SYNDROME. I think you might, however, be able to get a model Subaru engine to swap in if I am wrong on that.

Make sure to replace the 3/4 gear slider before you blow that tranny. It's even more important in a plastic gearbox - - a known failure point.

I am more partial to this beauty- http://www.germanaircooled.com/cart/index.php?page...4064edce49
I have a bunch of early busses and type 3 models but no vanagon body models yet.
