|
|
It is my intention on taking my Multivan to the Classic in Irvine, CA June 12th. I believe 2 years ago all the Vanagons were in a single row. Last year it was not like that and I felt a tad disappointed. I do not know how it works to park, though.
Who has insight and who is going?????? _________________ "Use the SEARCH, Luke" But first visit the Vanagon FAQ!

You need to be in line in the early morning and sign in. Then gather in the back with the other type2's and start to gather together. It is like clockwork if you are there in time with the other Vanagons. "If you drive there they will come" I have gone in almost every type of VW I have owned and it always works the same way. Get there early look for your type. Park and play!. Have fun I wish I could go this year or I would be in line at sunrise with you:D _________________ 1961 Westfalia SO23 Mango Green/Seagull grey

With a little more than a month to go, I got the engine and transmission hung. Gas tank resealed, new radiator, aluminum coolant lines and on and on...
Looking like we will be running in the next week or so.

I'm going. i go every year but I've never taken my GL... it would be cool to finally take my vanagon to a show and meet some vanagon people. I go before sunrise anyway so meeting up that early won't be a problem for me. _________________ - 1989 Vanagon GL

Dunno if I'll go or not. On the one hand, I live about 4 miles from the Spectrum. On the other hand, sounds like a lot of craziness.
Still, maybe I'll go so other vanagon guys can help me fix stuff!

I'll find out on Tuesday just how close we are to running my van.
I really want to go.
Wish me luck, time is short! _________________ "Use the SEARCH, Luke" But first visit the Vanagon FAQ!

I could I guess move it. But, at this point in time it is sort of not worth it, I think. _________________ "Use the SEARCH, Luke" But first visit the Vanagon FAQ!

It is alive!
It drives. One mile test drive. Now we got more stuff to do.
Needs a another power steering pump, sigh.
Looking positive for a go.

You took the time to move the Wasatch Classic thread. Just keep it fair, man. _________________ Clark

I'm in.
Does anyone know whether we are permitted to bring parts to sell?
Also, anyone going who wants to park inside in "Vanagon Row" should swap phone numbers and begin calling others during the few days leading up to the show.
I, for one, have never parked inside so those who have and know the logistics could help us newcomers out by providing specific information and a meeting place. What's been posted so far is a bit generic. Specifics would help a lot.
Thanks all. _________________ '82 1.9 TD Westy (Tortuga Veloce)

Not my doing!

Agree.
Just not sure how to do it so everybody knows. Maybe a group list?
I have never done it too. But my buddy going with me has. _________________ "Use the SEARCH, Luke" But first visit the Vanagon FAQ!
