It's been a couple of weeks. I suggest that you call, talk to your interviewer and ask whether you got the job. If he hems and haws, you know you didn't and in that case, ask whether he felt that you were lacking in any job skills or interview skills that caused them to pass you up, as you were very interested in this job, and would have loved to work there. Don't be afraid to do this, because if they already hired, you never know but there may be more openings soon, and if they didn't, this shows that you are serious and interested. You have to remember, though, that although you are talking on the telephone, this is akin to a second interview and you can say things that will blow it for you. Be careful, but be interested and willing to start anywhere, etc.

It took a month from my interview to my start date. I had given up and moved on to looking for other work when they called me with a offer. Hang in their brother, and good luck.

I decided to start looking out of my area even more. I have discovered that there are a lot of opportunities out of California that are willing to hire new grads. I applied to some major hospitals in AZ, TX and FL. surprisingly, i got an email inviting me for an online assessment interview at a major hospital in Florida within hours of applying.
On the local front, I keep applying for every position that comes up and yes, i have even started putting out calls to the dept managers to introduce myself and trying to get a leg up on the competition.

Filling out online applications is getting old, but i must continue!!

Go with.

"In the mutli cultural and lingual society that we live today, I'd say that my mastery of just one language would be my weakest point but its something I want to rectify".

Its a winning answer.

Congratulations! Proves you need to stay out there and keep swinging in this job market. Health care is a good field to be in nowadays. People aren't getting any younger.
