Landing on the same weekend as the other bus show was an unfortunate but unavoidable reality. On our former date, we were competing with the Full Moon bus campout, so we are used to it. Our show is a not for profit charity event so we are thankful for whoever choses to attend. _________________ Knox Volks Motor Club - Knoxville, TN

We're having a good response from vendors and show cars preregistering. If you need a full-utility camping spot, don't miss your chance to pre-register. They are filling up quickly.

Yeah man, we will miss seeing you guys. On the plus side, attendance is actually looking up (pre-registrations). The bands are ready to go, the memorabilia is about finished, the weather looks good (80 and sunny, much better than 104 last year), it appears to be shaping up into good times for all! _________________ Knox Volks Motor Club - Knoxville, TN

Oh, one more thing, the local Pull-A-Part has committed to donate a honda or something that we can beat up with a sledge. Should be pretty much fun! _________________ Knox Volks Motor Club - Knoxville, TN

Killer-D, I sent you an email. Bring it on.
To everyone else, preregistration ends tomorrow night. Save some money and preregister. We're on track to top last year, and surprisingly, some of our full camping sites aren't taken. Vendors look good, show cars look good, weather looks GREAT. It's going to be fun!

I know everyone who put on the show probably tried and worked real hard to try and make this a success and I'm thankful for that as I know it can take a lot of work and dedication in putting on a show...with that said-- I was a astonished to see how many people came this morning to spectate/show/swap. I arrived when the gates opened at 0900 and intended on staying the day, however by 0930 I was ready to leave, but instead I kept thinking that more would come...I waited until almost 1030 when I decided it was time for me to go. When I walked back to my truck, I counted 19 spectator cars in the upper parking lot by 11am.
Just a suggestion-- but next year try not to plan it the same time as the Transporter Show in Charlotte. I was hoping to see more people and cars there and also much more vendors. Instead I seen 7 vendors and one of them was trying to sell me a new bathtub/shower unit. Better luck next year... |
