Hi all,
I'm in Finland. I've been quite surprised at the number of '67s I come across here. To the extent that I wonder if VW offloaded them on the market here in '68. British Motorcycle manufacturers certainly offloaded some oddities here.
Here's listing for '67 Beetles in the national ads if you're interested:

Interesting that the big 68 bumpers came on the '67s' in your country. Is that how they shipped there??

I think all the ones I've seen have the earlier bumper, but there are certainly two advertised there with later ones. Who can say. Factories will fit odd components to get cars completed and out the door, and stuff gets changed over the years. Bumpers can lead a hard life.
Cheers,

^ She is beautiful. I no longer have my 67 because of an accident, I almost had another one this time would have been a vert, but the VIN did not match up.
I did just score this 61 vert though

Is it worth adding just a pan to the registry? My 62(?) is on a 1967 Pan. But I don't have any information for the body that was on it originally. |

Sad to report that #387 was destroyed in the Northern California fires last fall and comes off the list. |

Celebrating the 20th Anniversary with my '67 that I bought in 1998 from the original owner's widow. Her husband LOVED this car and was the only driver of it, as she couldn't drive stick. It took her 4 years to finally decide to sell it because it was so sentimental to her. I'm still enjoying the lil' cuss and continuing the love
This was the first picture I took of it when I got it home, and it's the first pic in my gallery. Love this little car! (#258 in the Registry)

Looks great. I'm not sure if I'm going to repaint mine the og white, or a light Sapphire blue. Seeing as she was run through a ringer. One thing though, how do I know what number Opal is in the registry?
very sad when a Vw is lost, even worse in a fire. Rip 387. _________________ It's not the fall that hurts, it's the sudden stop at the bottom.

I drive this car almost every day and get lots of thumbs up from passerbys. My pure white Bichon loves to sleep on my lap with her head on my right arm, moving back and forth with each gear shift. You'd think it would make her car sick. |

Here are some updated pics of 117695981 now that most of the work is done. Waiting on a new sidewinder exhaust and then all the stock tinware including flaps and thermostat plus sleds will be back on the engine.
