Nice one. If you end up selling this barndoor, please keep it in country. I'd really hate to see another good one go on a globe trotting flipping spree. _________________ Check my classifieds for kewl gauges:

| if you ever consider selling it, please contact me [email protected] my brother lives in Hardin MT and I could easily have him pick it up for me:) Obviously really wishful thinking. Hope you get to restore/or just get in running and drive it forever. Love all the pics! |

Did your brother happen to own that beautiful early red Ghia that came out of Hardin about ten years ago? _________________ Confusious say it takes it takes two wipes to know you need three, but it takes three wipes to know it only needed two. |

Go to the library for an old phone book. Find the address, and ask around the area if anyone remembers the business. You may be able to find an old owner or employee who has some history and/or photos. Manny did that with the Coram Rug Works panel. Found some really interesting stuff. _________________ Confusious say it takes it takes two wipes to know you need three, but it takes three wipes to know it only needed two. |

I have been wanting Fred to do some logos for me for a long time. I have not come up with the "right" design yet. Someday. _________________ Confusious say it takes it takes two wipes to know you need three, but it takes three wipes to know it only needed two. |

Awesome I love OG Logo Buses, and a Barndoor makes it that much sweeter. I'm really glad you live in Fargo too

that's the plan. Hell, there's probably an address on the bus somewhere... I'm excited to start wetsanding! I'm thinking about seeing if I can get it down enough to see what's all on it, then take some kick ass pictures of it, repaint the bus, and see if I could pay Fred to redo the logos for me. That'd be poppin' fresh! |

You could probably make some of your investment back selling some of the at bus preserving mud right here in the classifieds.
I can't believe how perfect the threads are on that spindle after being buried for so long.
Have fun with the build. _________________

Here is the view from the road
Here is a close up from the same location
Driver's side semiphore in pretty good shape
Looking down the driver's side. There is an inward crease. Good thing is the full access from the back to be able to push it out!
The rust on the front nose
I power washed out the inside and outside of it this past weekend. Looks good!
The passenger side inside and outside rockers will need to be replaced also as they are completely rusted out. I tried to figure out more of the logos, but they weren't painted on the original blue. They were painted on a rolled on black paint I believe, so I think what we see is what we see. I'm going to try and find some photos of it at the library by looking through some old newspapers on micro film. If I can't find anything, the logos will probably disappear to never be seen again. _________________ RED RIVER VW CLUB---www.redrivervwclub.com

| don't give up on those logos just like that, when we found our panel we made several trips to their local library trying to find anything on the company, we didnt get much, but one of those pieces we found put us on the right path, as far as finding the entire history of the company and original owner the bus belonged to. |
