yes, the car was badly rusted, and after driving around in it for a while , with the fenders falling off Laughing I have done the body work and paintjob
however I coulden`t buy new floor pans, or heater chanels Sad .....the old ones are ok for now , but there welded....so new pans and heater chanels are something that I will have to change in the future Smile

well not very beatifull....but at least rust is mostly gone...
next time i will change heataer chanels and floor pans as well I`am a university student so it is kind of hard getting money for parts...but slowly I will get there Very Happy

I have a problem with my clutch
it vibrates when I am realeasing the clutch and the car starts moving forward
the problem was significantly worse last sommer but i ended up changeing the pressure plate, and the shocks, now its about 20 % of how bad it was then but its still not perfectly smooth starting
what could be wrong?

Would you describe it as "vibration" or more like "chatter"?

Chatter is often caused by a misadjusted Bowden tube (between frame and transmission), which can be adjusted with washers to get the required one inch bend.

Crap that might be my problem, I got my bowden tube from CIP1 so there is a good chance its a POS, or I glazed over the flywheel.

well it seems to have solved the problem Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
there still is a bit of chatter occasionally but that i think is from the transmission mount
It hat a bend but it was not enough, about 1 cm, so I have put a thick washer
I have only done a short test drive around town, but it seems ok

well on the paint can it says "royal red" however, it`s miles away from the "royal red" that Vw used....Prabably RAL codes are diferent too I haven`t checked Question
