next was the front brake trial setup
the calipper bracket was from veedub engneering, as are the bearing spacers for the 911/944 hubs
nothing hits, the adapter fits perfectly. the hubs are the 60mm version, i have to shorten the studs 10mm. the stock wheel, the sprint stars and the 17" radars all fit without interference, spaced out 10mm YAY!

welded the mount (from Hoffmann speedster) for the power brake canister to the front beam and made a dry fit. the canister is the smaller one (i think vanagon) that does not interfere with the drivers side handbrakecable

Great decision !
These days we hardly see any buses on the road anyways. Just going to shows. It must have been years when I last saw a T1 in regular traffic....
Your panel has come so far....
it's only right to get it moving under it's own power !

ps, if you keep it in primer, you could even fill the rust pittings with filler. even tinted brown filler. then sand down to the grey epoxy. Wouldn't even be fake patina. just enhancing all the (somewhat) beautiful rust patterns that left pittings. just an idea.

Not only does your bus have Soul, it's got Soul with Feeling! Get it going mechanically so you can enjoy putting it to use generating smiles and actually going places. The cosmetics can wait.
