Does anyone have information on the length of the e brake cables for a 54 beetle. I purchased some from Wolfsburg West and installed them but to me they appear to short. About a half inch of cable comes out from the front Thats not enough to atach mounting plate and nuts onto cable to adjust. Going to call Wolfsburg tomorrow but want to make sure I have the right ones. Thanks.

Have you measured yours? they say theirs is 3138mm/123.5" long, is the conduit tube sitting right in the backing plate and on the conduit on the chassis? Have you changed the routing of it from standard?

Thank you for reply. The orig cables were accidently thrown away. I know when it was dissassebled eveything worked fine. I have everything installed correctly. I will measure cables to see if they are the right ones.
Thank you.

I scanned this whole book.. Lots of time in 29 Palms California..

Conversion:

3131MM = 10'.1/4"
3131MM = 123"

This is my Parts Book. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Parts Book is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Parts Book is useless. Without my Parts Book, I am useless. I must scan my Parts Book true. I must research better than my predecessors, who are trying to out do me. I must find the information before he does. I will. Before the VW Community I swear this creed: my Parts Book and myself are defenders of my 1954 literature, we are the masters of our scans, we are the saviors of OG Part Numbers. So be it, until there is no more information to ask, but peace. Amen.

LOL.. Well.. Chuck Norris is more along the lines of the Porta John Walls..

-Ghosts sit around the camp fire and tell Chuck Norris stories..
-Chuck Norris died 20 years ago.. Death just hasnt built up enough courage to tell him yet..
-Chuck Norris doesnt flush the toilet.. He scares the SHIT out of it..
