Thanks man, probably going to put the carpet in soon. I bought it from Newtons in the UK. Special ordered for the rhd vert! Square weave deliciousness!

It looks strange because of the adapter used for the oil filter return line. It will soon be changed (when I get home from Afghanistan) I have an Empi gauge set that has the original brass empi sender that will look better and do away with the adapter thats on there now.

Yeah I just emailed them all the info. You can email Ivan, one of the publishers. His info should be on their website.

What type of wood are you going to use for the dash??

Dave, I'm thinking about using a mahogany or whatever I can find that matches the original painted panels texture.

Got the birth certificate for the vert. Found out it was part of the "tourist delivery program" The car was ordered from a US VW dealer, built at the factory then sent somewhere in England for the owner to drive while visiting there. Once their vacation was over the car was shipped back to the states by VW! This was a hustle by VW so that they could exceed the amount of cars they could legally import each year!

Cool

Wonder how many rhd verts came through as special tourist ordered cars? I still can't find anyone that knows how many rhd verts were even produced.
