|
|
I got a set of 3X3 trailing arms with the purchase of my frame. Someone cut out the ends and welded in an unknown housing. Here are some pics. If anyone could help me find out what thay are out of that would be great.
The small hole in the middle is left over from the original housing plate.

Those might be for "micro stub" stub axles, I think they start off as Chevy S-10 parts but I dont know alot about them. Some body should chime in soon.

I wouldn't spend too much time trying to figure out what someone else created. Focus on replaceing the unknown with the proper flange. www.tabzone.com look in their catalog and get the correct flange for your bearing housing. _________________ Sandrail, Aftermarket VW based 2276cc , Turbo, Homebrew EFI, Type 1 Trans Aftermarket components |

Thanks for the info.
I'm not in a hurry and have limited cash so i'm trying to use what I have.
If all else fails I'll pick up the flanges from the company you suggested.

those are set up for micro stub.If you got to buy all new parts for the rear then go with these. If you already have all the rear parts then buy some other arms set up for VW.
You can get more travel out of the micro stub too which is an advantage. _________________ Click to view image

What micro stub housing would bolt to these arms?
No parts yet. Need to figure out what kind of bearing housing bolts to them and what kind of stub axles I need then I can start to put the rear end together. _________________ Project in process. All I need is more CASH.

Finally! I got ahold of a guy who called a guy and talked to the PO!
The only info I could get is that the flange is off the front of a 4x4 nissan. Wooo Hooo! Now I need to figure out how to use it. _________________ Project in process. All I need is more CASH.
