I bought my vert dissasembled, having fun trying to put her back together. Anyone have a pic of the bolts that hinge the rear seat back? I bought a set of bolts here on the Samba, but the thread is too small. Arethey different than a hard top Bug?

I bet you are putting them in the seat belt holes (like I did at first). there are 2 holes around the back seat, 1 for seat and 1 for seat belts. Hope this helps

I see only one hole on either side that lines up with the tabs of the rear seat, top section. they line up with the cut-out corner of the rear panels. According to the Wolfberg ad, all verts are the same!

There are 2 sets I promise you. They are different sizes and 1 is for seat belts the other is for seat and if you are trying to put them in the seat belt section the seat will also not reach all the way across. try looking up just a bit from where I think you might be and see if there is another hole. I will try and get a pic of the back seat in my vert tonight if I can and show you what I mean.

On my vert ('74), there's only one hole/side. The seatbelts go on that same shoulder bolt, with a plastic/nylon washer on either side of the seatbelt assembly...but they are on the shoulder bolt that pivots the rear seat back.

I'd gladly send you a pic but:
1. I'm at work and the car isn't
and
2. The back seat isn't in right now... sitting on sawhorses ready to
be reupholstered.

(That's how I knew about "1 hole"...just took the rear seat out last week).
