Here's something else I've adopted recently. A "sand-mat". Someone gave it to me and I thought I'd never use it. I was wrong. Incredible technology, used by the military for heli-pads. I have a very large one that I fold in half to go under the awning. It really works on sand, but is equally good on non-sand surfaces.

Funny, I just checked the manufacturer website and one of their photos is sitting outside this t5(?).

It looks a little weird going down the road backwards, don't you think? (engine vent louvers in the front?)
But it is cool.

After many years of planning and designing my own camp kitchen setup, I took the easy way out and just bought one of these. Not exactly what I would have built, but then again this took about 1,000 hours less of my time:

Really like it!

Wow Idea ....this looks great if it really works. I am ready to throw my bilstein out as it only has 3 teeth left on it but I really don't want the added weight of the hi-lift.

Has anyone used one of these X-Jacks?

Hey - anyone out there have a Firebox Stove? I love this thing. No it's not the biggest or most practical stove, but it's really fun to mess around with. It folds flat and is easy to tuck away in the van. Made in the USA !!!

What is it y'all are grilling? These things don't register in my brain as something I've seen grilled before (but I don't get out much).

Great thread from the past with so many Samba friends that were daily contributors!

Here's my latest contribution, though I have had it for over a year and it has seen plenty of action. Folds flat and stores in a pouch.
