Well, I slogged through all 23 pages and was sad to see that the cute little buggy I just picked up wasn't in there!

Can anyone tell me which buggy I've got? It's 1968 Karmann Ghia by title.

Anyone? Smile I've tried to research myself but no luck. This was built in Sweden in the 80's.

Next up on Identify This Buggy!....

It's off an abandoned farm and the squatters in the house who wouldn't hardly come out of the house until they found out "you's aint no cop are ya?" let me take some photos and tried to sell it to me. Something about they had a title but they were remodeling and just "had to find the title." I know they aren't the owners because family friends said its been there for nearly 30 years. Along with a 72 camper bus.

I'd love to know what I have on my hands!

I went back and got some more photos this weekend. Someone mentioned this was not a VW, but a corvair buggy? No engine but the photos I nabbed of the dash and trans should help. Is that trans a Corvair? I havent seen a square tranny in a VW before.

Looks a lot like a Acme Roadster T. The Roadster T has a flip up pickup bed in the back. But yours is missing which makes it look weird. The side view matches though.

You have a Mantaray2:Kyote....built by Dean Jeffries

Some of the owners have created a Facebook page so we can chat...its a pretty small "club" as about 100 were made...

Kyote 1 and Kyote 2 owners are welcome to join the Facebook page as well as well as Kyote Clone owners....

Search for Kyote by Jeffries on Facebook...and join.

Red One is not a Dean Jeffries Kyote....but a very nice Clone...probably made by Aquacraft...General rule:If it's in the South...it's probably a Clone.

Don't forget to join the Dean Jeffries Kyote Facebook Page.... we dont look down on clones...I like em all...
