hi people, i found at the web a replika of a ragtop, i think is from street beats, well i have that one for the moment, i think im gonna intall it at my 64 bug (untill i buy a oG rag section) or on my brothers baja.... but i dont like the big black ugly frame...and im thinking to intall it from inside (making a few modifikation).... but any one here, has a photo of your replika ragtop...for example the rails...the installation.. or a close up to the rag... thanks

I have talked to a number of Street-beat customers and most all of them have regrets. As far as I can tell, all of them leak at least a little, and many of them leak a lot.
I would consider finding an original VW ragtop clip and use that instead. |

the guys of KCW... they tellme that they put a few ones..and they work very good... with no problems with the wind, water..... all depends of the installation.. maybe im gonna put it for the moment.. untill i found a original clip

these intrigue me since i cant seem to find an OG clip near me to put into my 65 ... and i know i could do this work myself more than likely...

the quality of those pieces is just down right cheap find an og clip do it right

I would save myself the trouble of hacking a non original ragtop in, when the goal is getting an og ragtop. the hole you're going to cut out might not be same size as needed to graft in an og ragtop.... i saw quite a few of them around and the aftermarket ones are usually different in size...
that's trouble then at the end of the story when you get the og one...
I would either stick to the aftermarket ragtop you got now, graft it in, and be happy with it for the rest of the car's life, or get an og one straight away.
drive your VW every day!!! |

thanks man...yes if a put the aftermaket right now, theres no problem...untill i found the komplete og clip, not just the hole, _________________ <<VW FEVER>>
