see my photo above: mine Jan '66 Aussie bus, typically we were 6 months (or more) behind any model change introduced elsewhere. The carpet has the cut out around the latch. _________________ the invisible and the non existent look very much alike |

In case anyone in the UK/Europe needs one of these carpets, I can confirm that Matmatz (https://madmatz.co.uk) have the patterns, and can make them in square weave carpet (despite not having them listed on their website)
I've just received the one they've made for me, but I was wondering if there was any kind of underlay originally under these carpets? I'm probably going to put some rubber backed felt underlay underneath to help with sound deadening (https://www.carpet-underlay-shop.co.uk/collections...-99-per-m2 would seem to do the job)
Secondly, can anyone tell me how the carpet was originally fixed? Was it glued or screwed in place, or was it just loose?
Many thanks. |

no underlay used, just the tar strips between the parallel pressings _________________ the invisible and the non existent look very much alike |
