|
|
Hi all, after some feedback about the quality of the major long panel repops, Gersons, Autocraft, Schofield etc. I have seen a few makes but wasnt happy about the lack of crown in the panels (too flat) or crappy louvers, or poor fuel door pressing, or the sill curve was too tall and held the side off the supports, so Hope to hear of your personal experiences with these makers. Its really not worth putting on a whole panel if I have to rework parts of it. Oh, specifically to '60 (no lip)
Cheers

Do the absolute smallest patch that you can get away with.
I recently installed a KF long panel, which not only didn't have enough curvature, but the curve it did have wasn't consistent along the entire length.
There was someone (BarryL?) who re-curved his for a nice fit, but I can't remember exactly who or the title of the thread. He put a lot of work into it, but it came out right. _________________ -Thom

Mine was an NOS fuel door side panel from HellaBro. The cargo rocker is what I had to re-curve. I think you hooked me up. (Thanks) |

Recently installed Autocraft................amazing quality, highly recommend.
I would add pictures, however, a recent computer crash, prevents that...currently working on getting the files back.
There are 6 more sides that I will be installing in the next few months, all Autocraft or NOS, evertything from barndoor to 63. _________________ Transporter Restorations

Thanks for your comments. Doug looks like an Autocraft is for me then. I appreciate your recommendation. Its encouraging, knowing how discerning you are with your busses. Please post up your pics when your computers back on swing.
Cheers

No one really...Every now in then someone will ship in some bulk stuff and sell some off. English Dave comes over for Bulli Brigade and Bug Jam in FL and bring some smaller stuff every year. _________________
