A little info for my fellow (Canadian) Westy campers. Just picked up this bad boy at Canadian Tire; its on sale until next Thursday. It was $120, on for $89; a reasonable price for a really nice toilet. This is the larger of the two available (20 litres). Interestingly enough, it is made by Dometic, the manufacturer of the stock Westy fridge. This is actually quite appropriate seeing as how the fridge works like crap. Anyway, looks like a perfect match for EZ's bus.....maybe a little pinstripe package for uniformity???

Guess I better stock up on reading material. Let the games begin.

Just what I was going to say... I don't have anything useful to add about the toilet, but the thread title is fantastic. Laughing

A tire store that sells crappers? You Canadians are lucky. Did they have any other color choices? Yes, that green would go with our Sage Green buses, but your Mexico Beige needs something more color coordinated.

Nice find!

20 litres?, that's pretty ambitious!
But if you're planning on doing any big jobs the small enclosed space of the bus could prove ummm........claustrophobic. Too bad you missed this little tent for it the week before when it was on sale.

Nice score!, but I think this is one time where we really don't need pictures of it in action Wink

20 liters may not be big enough for some families busdaddy... And for those who would rather limit those actitivites to outside the bus; we don't always have time to set up an outhouse-tent! Sick

Agreed David, the color is nice, but not for my bus. Oh well, all the other campers will be green with toilet envy, so maybe it is an appropriate color. Wink

Buy 4 tires, get a free toilet, eh? Only in Canada. The title of this thread is damn funny. Before i read it I assumed it was another Bus related disaster that involved logs falling on the Bus, not inside Wink

While I can appreciate the luck in scoring a green toilet, I'm more interested in the framed asparagus. Is that a Canadian thing, too?

Hey, it's a kitchen; you gotta have pictures of food in there. Canadian Tire is really anything but a tire store. It's a huge company and would probably be best compared to Target in the USA. I actually hate the place, but sometimes you have to shop where the sales are. Hmmm, this food talk is making me hungry.

Ya, ya, I solved that problem 20 years ago.....I got me a wife. (and I'm so dang lucky she doesn't read the Samba, 'cuz I'd be dead).

No seriously, those crazy Dometic designers actually accounted for that. It's just too bad they didn't account for meaningful cooling when they designed those Easy Bake Oven Westy fridges. Wink

In Canada alot of people actually call Canadian Tire, "Crappy Tire"

While on the subject of shitters, my rented Porta-Potty at a mountain bike race I was organising tipped over due to a wind storm we had last night... had to clean that beast up this morning after a night at the bars Mad

Earlier this summer, I went on a road trip to a music festival. Four days using Port-O-Let toilets is not my idea of fun. While at Wal-Mart I spotted a $6 toilet seat. I had an idea...

I got a new 5 gallon bucket ($3) and some quality 13 gallon black trash bags. Made myself a toilet.

It worked great. Simply pull the bag after each use, tie a knot, and toss in the trash can. May not be the most environmentally friendly.

A few weeks later, I was hanging outside on the patio and picked up a 5 gallon bucket to sit on. It fit my bottom just fine and I realized that all I needed was a 5 gallon bucket and some trash bags. The bucket is also more discreet than having a toilet seat in my bus.

I knew there was a reason I didn't become a garbage man......or a dumpster diver. Confused
