Are you sure that it is NOS?
If so, please send me a little peace like 10 x 10 cm that is the best for repro.

The olive green color seems just right in the upper pictures- and the in lower two the color appears to be brown? Is the fabric the same in all of the pictures, light differences or..? |

It is good to have some different samples!
The guys in the factory will figure out the corect colour. They look under 3 different type of light to see what is corect.

The colour of the first two pictures are the closest to the fabric.
All the photo's are of the two pieces.
It was already dark yesterday, so I had to use the flashlight of the camera. |

Ok! Now this project has great samples to start with.
A couple of years ago we did test runs for fun, just to see if the cloth could be produced in the cheapest possible way. The warp was just a standard white with no greens. We tried to produce the pattern with weft only. The density wasn't adjusted either. The results were as if they were made in China, very hilarious..
The project was droppped as we couldn't find the right thread with the right shade of green from the limited supplys we had access to. Also the machinery required 100 metres to be produced in order to change the warp to the correct 2 green / 2 white combination. Decided to dye the threads ourselves at some later time. The fabric structure was analyzed in the meantime.
We asked a pro with a handweaving loom, and the price estimate was over 1000 euros for the seats of one car. With two batches the price would have dropped to 750 e / car.
Hopefully people understand that it's rare to get decent seat cloth even for a living-room sofa at the price of 70e/m. If this project succeeds it'll be a real steal! |

By the way, if the groundcolour is the same like beige, we can make some more colours! They just have to change the shootcolour.
Have you guys some more 60 fabriccolours?

Yes the pattern is the same,
Pastel Blue & turquoise = blue + white
Beryl = olive green + white
all the rest = brown/grey + white
However there willbe some extra work with the colour change, as the warp has these colours too. Weaving the coloured patterns over white threads only won't work here. |

Right. The one on the top is a one year only, from mid 60 to mid 61, the bottom one up to 63. |

Some guys should just shut up
The sample sheet is dated 8/60 = Aug. 60 - July 61.
The fabric I sent you is from chassis 3 828 526. Just as in the sample sheet.
I think the source for the misinformation is Himmelservice website, where the later pattern (as in the interior picture below) is presented as being '60-'64. Not true, that's the '62-'63 fabric. |

Tadaa,
here we have the gorgeous NOS fabric from Marc and also the one from Sami.
We see the greentone is the same, the small is a little dirty but also ok.
I haven´t got a so good sample like theese.
One stupid problem is that 3 guys want the later style, so i need some more for the berill 60 project. ARE THERE SOME MORE GUYS???
Also for berill 61-63, I think i have to start a new threat.

Mark,
will you send me also a sample of the blue / turkis fabric.
3 guys jump down, because they want 61 - 63 beryll.
Maybe we can make two colours and have enough ordert meters.

Hi Marcus,
Sorry for the late reaction, I was on holiday the last two weeks.
I'll get a piece of fabric from my 61 pastel blue cars front seat and will send it to you.

Thanks a lot!
It is a little low with interested guys here in the moment.
But i think for the 60 green fabric we have enough.
When i got your sample, i will talk to the producer.
With the 61 - 63 i have only 3 guys, looks like that noone have a car like that.

Glad I stumbled into this thread out of curiosity. Count me in for the blue/turkis fabric.
I believe it would be a good idea to create a seperate thread for the blue/turkis material as I'm sure there are others like me out there who may be interested, but aren't aware it may be available as the thread title only addresses beryl green cars.
Marcus, how many have expressed interest in blue/turkis? _________________ 1950 Pearl Grey Hoffman Standard Split Window

You are the second
But if the groundcolour ( beige ) is the same it will be no problem to shoot the blue inside. I have to order 50 meters minimum, but what happend with it is not importend. When the sample from Mark arrive i will opend a new threat with a link to this.
