Wow, it's been a while.
The Super 25hp is coming together nicely

No full shots until it 100% done and ready for the car.

Bought a Salesflap with big palns for it, but someone else wanted it more so I sold it.

I got a picture of it (red walkthru) with my other 2 before it left though...

Back to what's been going on in the shop....

I spent some of my spring doing some work for my friend / customer, Jeff (themacnut) turning this....

into this...

A LOT of metal work was needed,

Dove Blue sealer,

Rebuilt the front door tops, new seals all around, 4 wheel Wilwood / Porsche disks, 4" narrowed beam, ProStreet trans, 5.5 (real) Fuch's, 2332cc engine with 48 IDA's.

Before anyone points out the obvious, Jeff knows and I know it's not done. But it is right where he wants it for the time being.
It's a very nice driver he can enjoy for now. He has 2 other full restos in the works right now. This one has can drive and enjoy. In time I'm sure Jeff will give it a complete restoration.
Jeff is always a pleasure to deal with. It took longer then expected, and cost a little more as well, but he stuck in there with me and I think he's happy with the outcome.

Good customer Mark (markfatlace) dropped off his 356 for dropped spindles and rear adjustment a couple weeks ago.

It turned out well.

When he picked up the Porsche he dropped off his bus for a new engine, oil system, and fuel system.

We'll be getting to that this week.

I finally found time to build a 2276cc IDA engine for the Vendo along with a set of our step 4" drop spring plates to get it back on the road and riding a bit smoother.

I followed up by a 1915cc build for my good friend Mike's EZ Camper along with a 12v conversion and some wiring details in the engine compartment to clean things up a bit.

A good friend of mine here in Santa Rosa picked up a '63 Ragtop from another good friend of mine (Trayle) in Arizona a year or so ago.

I've been helping him tweak on it a bit here and there. adjusting the suspension and updating the brakes, but the biggest project was the all green interior.

Green seat covers, door panels, headliner and German squareweave carpet. In the end we did a new green ragtop skin and rebuilt the sliders as well.
It turned out sweet.

Some where along the way I worked a deal with Josh up in Washington for his 54 Portuguese BD Kombi. He wanted an 11G and I had one that I hadn't driven in years, was without an engine and I had been stealing parts off of for a while for another project. So a deal was made.

So that's my own personal back burner project I work on when I have time.

Mike unloaded all of the Gerson metal and extra parts while I helped the driver load the 11G

Upper picture is how it rolled off the transport truck, bottom pictures is a few hours later with the help of my local buddies, Mike, Ryan and Steve.

Back bumper installed as well. Still need to address the decklid though.

I borrowed the wheels off my Italian Salesflap until I could get tires on to a set of detailed King Crabs and 5.5's. Then I switched them out. Much better.

A beam swap was in order as well. Nothing wrong with what was in there, but I wanted to try out the full needle bearing DogBack BD beam that came with the bus (along with a 6"narrowed Butcher Shop BD beam)

I stuck the BD seats (that need work) in the loft and ran the "matching" como seats for kicks.

Meanwhile I dug out some parts from my stash to start correcting others bad deeds

Got a temp fix on the decklid while I wait for Gerson to send a hinge carrier my way.

Gotta love that rear hatch

Painted rear bumper looks much better

Just thinking out loud here while I was swapping steering boxes

About 6 weeks ago I was tired of the oil leaks, so I pulled the engine to fix them and decided that would be a good time to address some wiring issues, and tackle the rust.Now it sits....
