| I bought a thing from a person that did not know anything about car, it looked good, acolpulco colors but dont think its real, paperwork says a 2.0 stroker, not sure what that is. It has 2 carbs and AE stamped case. How do i find out what this motor is short of disassembling it? Taking it into shop next week because it does not run |

AE engines were 1971-1973 1600 engines. I’ve read they came in Buses, not sure on that though. They do accept the Thing skid plates without modifications. Post a pic and more experienced people than me can drop more knowledge.
It’s not the original Thing Engine, not that there is much difference other than the engine codes, I believe. A PO of my Thing also put in an AE engine. |
