Mine are a faded black. just wondering what it came with from the start? Black or silver arms. If its black i want to re- do them since the wipers arent working anyway. Assuming the grease dried out since my Thing came from the Lakeside part of San Diego which i believe is dry as can be?

That's an interesting question. Mine are black but the pictures in the sales literature in the archives section only show them as silver. My 73 was/is so bone stock I never gave it any thought.
