Welcome. I really want to see that car
In my opinion
1) Brakes first (stopping never goes out of style)
2) Oil, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and valve adjustment
3) Electrical Tune Up
4) Change oil in transmission if necessary
5) Clean it over and over and over
Don't throw anything away. |

Thanks in advance,

if i was worried about sitting on later pans, neither of my two 64s would be on the road. Good to see an early car on the road! If it is a 61, the dash vent sliders should have 4 knobs of the same size. If it is a 62 or later, it will have 3 sliders. _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

no, what i am saying is a type 3 on the road is always better than a type 3 sitting doing nothing but rotting away. _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

I'm curious about the VIN. A '62 Sunroof Notch just popped up a couple weeks ago and ousted Bob's PeptoPink Notch for the earliest sunroof car out there. Could this be even earlier...? _________________ 1963 Notchback - Ruby Red

So in the USA can you just tittle off the vin on the body? Here in the uk you could end up titled as the VIN from the pan.
If the whole pan, running gear and engine are later then that's 50% of the car, that only half a 62 to me _________________ (06:31:07) RoachGhia: "i drink dick way too fast" |

Wow- if this car is only half a 62, that makes this one a 31?????? _________________ Aaron

will upload more picks tonight. for what i understand its a repaired pan with fiberglass inserts and no the moon roof has the machanism parts in a box there pretty beat up will purchase replacements in the future. he put in a SCAT short shifter not to happy hard to shift the good news is he had a trailer full of parts for me 4 fenders 4 doors 2 extra bumpers 3 wishbone suspensions extra tranny with axles attached, extra hood, turbo, new steering box, the list go's on 6 large 2x3 storage boxes of parts. the title says year 62 but it has 4 heater knobs. i do have a question how do i get the 6volt sending unit and gas guage to work if the car is a 12volt system. once again thanks for all the info and suggestions personally love how they look lowered with chrome 5 spoke EMPI rims. _________________ http://s1136.photobucket.com/albums/n499/flacorc/

The fuel sending unit in the tank doesn't care if its 6 or 12volt but the fuel gauge in the dash does. You will need to pull the gauge and replace the small fuel gauge with a 12 volt unit. If you have the red needle unit you might want to get creative and swap or build a fuel gauge to match the others. _________________ "What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: 'tis dearness only that gives everything its value.
