|
|
Just wanted to start a thread about this new little venture. A few years ago we built a very nice cabinet set for my bus, based off of the SO-33 set. At the time we didnt have an original set to copy so we just did our best.
Well now we have an OG kit and we are doing our best to copy this kit 100%. The new kits will be made to the exact the same dimensions and angles as the Original, and wherever possible, we used the original contsruction methods. The Cabinets are made out of a very high grade Maple plywood which is made in the states, and the seat base corners and top edges are made from solid Maple. We also have a machinist fabricating the metal parts like the seat back supports, brackets, and table support.
In one of the pics below you can see the seat bases stacked up. OG on the bottom and new on the top.
We are going to offer these for sale at a very affordable price, some say its to cheap.
Next week I should have a completed kit to show off. Big ups to CNight, Ezcamper, and Pops of course.
Alright enough talk............ pics.

Well the cool thing about the kit is that it'll be easily removed similar to the SO-22 mosaik kit.
Sventinker - pm about pricing sent _________________ I build complete Westy Style camping interiors check them out here > www.rjcampers.com

I guess most people would want it all to original spec, but these days i think a wardrobe is useless. how about an option of that cabinet only to below wind height (thats what i did in my own interior) _________________ (06:31:07) RoachGhia: "i drink dick way too fast" |

Hy I want 2 kits,
please pm me the price!
1 would be for a '58 do you also do the drivers side cabinet?
And would you be able to make the drivers side cabinet a bit wider (more storage room) just as wide that the small rear window is completely free to look through (using the rear view mirror)
Thxs for making this! |

For those of us that are perpetually super broke, would it be possible for you to produce and sell plan sheets? Now THAT would be the bomb! Might lose a little business, but building and shipping the kits, will keep you guys so busy I'd be surprised if you could keep up with the demand... which would grow, and grow. I expect you'd sell a lot of the plan sheets. Plans for doing that? |
