Sventinker - Im trying just to see if there's a demand for the product first, I would be more than willing to ship to the west coast, just have to figure it out.

Subhatchim - I'm assuming you mean the wardrobe Cabinets, I'll work up a price and let you know.

Krusher - It would be possible to do custom set-ups, and the one you mentioned is something we had discussed.

Sancho - PM sent, as to your other question, no right now all we're doing is the passenger side wardrobe, the seat bases, seat bottoms, seat backs, the table and all the hardware.

Kombisutra - I agree, but as of yet there isn't any plan for plans. I loved your video of the bus extraction BTW.

Impressive and I hope you sell a lot of them. I'm even thinking how they'd be in a '67 Kombi. I love that configuration.

I have most of the pieces for my original kit, but am missing the closet door and the medicine cabinet that attaches to the cargo door. Will you be willing to sell individual pieces? Also, what veneer will you use?

I checked out your bass guitars and if your interior kits are anything like those these kits will be special. I am on a hinderance of shipping these accross the U.S. I would agree with Brian that plans would sell too

My SO-22 has a wooden floor between the seats and open to the floor under the seats. Will you make the floor section? How about the icebox/cabinet for the left rear? And are you fabricating the metal parts? Just curious and your wood work looks great, especially the rounded corner of the seat base. I cut down my wardrobe decades ago but hinged the top and made a tip up desk just below the window. You can rest your right arm there w/ feet up while sitting in the back seat. I never needed the wardrobe and missed having that window.

JP,

Good to see you have a thread started. Been following the progress since the beginning. I heard these fit good in single cabs...j/k

Great werk and look forward to seeing the finished product. Do you anticipate having some finished by Bulli Brigade?

Ok I wanted to address some of the questions.

Yes there will be a walk thru option. It will work similar to an SO-42 kit, using the same type of hinge to turn the rear seat into a bed. The table will mount permanently to the wall and there will be a jumpseat behind the driver. We'll try to keep it roughly the same price.

I worked today on figuring out how to ship these kits, if you are interested in the crate size and weight you can shoot me a pm, until I actually get an ad up for the kits, then I'll post all that info in the ad. Lets just say I was pleasantly surprised at the shipping cost to the west coast.

Braukuche - Unfortunately we do not have the cabinet that attahces to the door, so we can't copy it. Unless someone wants to lend us theirs for a week or two. If you need a door let me know I'll put one together for you. Again unfortunately no one makes the white trim that the door is edged with, but we came up with a decent solution.

JOGR- The seats and seat backs will operate just like an OG SO-33 kit did complete with the metal tube support thingy and the brackets to hold them to the seat bottoms. They're just missing from the pics I posted.

Life Long VW -Yes there is basically a wood floor in this kit take a look at the pics below to see what I mean.

Mark - Yes we will be bring a few kits to Bulli Brigade. As of right now 2 are spoken for though Very Happy

The pictures below show the seat bases with the seat bottoms and seat backs just propped up for show. It does not show the metal tubing that will support the seat backs or the table and it's support. Sorry theyre a little out of focus.

And the last one shows an OG kit set-up in a bus. Photo credit goes to Clvwe2

your kit looks great.
From pictures it looks 100% the same as the OG.

If I had to sell cabinet like you I would offer an option to sell the kit disassembled (Ikea cabinet style) which might reduce the shipping cost and possibly give an option for oversee shipment.

Another variance but more expensive, would be to offer the kit with quater-son veneer such as limba, birch... applied on it.

Expensive as in more than quadruple the price Very Happy Seriously though, the Maple veneer on the plywood we're using is very nice. However custom stuff is available, but limited to the plywood species readily available to us.

Remember the goal here is "Affordable Quality"

Here are the steel pieces for the table and back rests. The brackets are pressed 2 piece construction like original.

The kits look great, I guess if you can make a bass guitar, a camper kit is pretty simple! Looking forward to seeing some installed in some buses.
