Those pics don't really show anything of real significance. What're the pans like, does it run, shift, stop, etc, etc.....
Obviously a repaint, so how about body work? Rust? Bondo? etc, etc....
I'm assuming it's a '66.
More importantly, is it worth that price to YOU? |

its a 65. No vent. Noemergency knob. but there is a 1300cc in it and it has the 1300 cc label |
1966 and 1965 have same rear hood. could have been drilled for emblem or replaced the 65 hood with 66 one. _________________ Admin note: Bill Passed away - July, 2017

A 65 would have a Link Pin front end and a "T" handle on the rear engine lid.
A 66 would have the Ball joint front axle and a button on the engine lid.
I have a 66 bug (my 3rd) in the last 25-28 yrs.
Passenger seat has a slip cover while drivers seat looks orig material...same as on my car.
Paint looks okay so far...question is the rest of the car. |

i am 68 and i still remember at least that 1965 was first year for push button rear hood. so you are correct 50% as 65 had king/link pin. how old are you? just curious _________________ Admin note: Bill Passed away - July, 2017

I'm smiling and a little embarrassed as the 65-66 did have the button on the rear engine lid. 67 on was different.
Getting forgetful due to my old age...turned 80 last week.
My late dad was also a mechanic and forgot more things then I ever learned during my yrs working on engines for a living. |
