I have recently noticed a rattle coming from my sliding door area on 91 Vanagon. I seems to be present even on smooth roads, door has been shut fully. Any ideas what item may make this type of noise in that area.

mine seems to be coming from the front top inside roller that rides in the track. i need to look into how to adjust so it is under slight pressure when closed.

YES, mine also sounds like the roller bearing is rattling, but there is no play in the door when closed.

same here, I thought slider door roller rattle on bumps, but GF, riding shotgun, says no, it is actually passenger door.

Haven't fixed this yet.

I have a problem where my slider door pops open just a little bit on the back edge everytime we go anywhere. I have used plenty lube and when its closed it sits nice. It opens and closes fine. What adjustment or is a spring missing somewhere? Stumped.
