That's a pretty cool flash app. Too bad I don't read German. It's also
for split window busses, not bays.

I'm fairly certain 4 years equals "soon".

Anyway, I finally uploaded the microfiche for the westy camper interiors. Its missing a page I accidentally forgot to scan; but I thought I'd post it up in the mean time anyway. Look for an update for that missing page in roughly another 4 years.

I have the earlier paper version also scanned in, that'll get up eventually.

I was thrilled to see there was a set of drawings for Westfalias until I tried to look at it. About half of the images on the Cabinets section are unavailable, and there others scatter through other sections - they come up as empty boxes on the linked page, and then give an error when you click on them.

I can see all the images. Maybe try a different browser and/or computer?
Very cool to have access to these, wish they were cleaner though.

I tried a different computer and was able to see all but one page on the Cabinets section. I think the problem is that section has a large number of pages and the website, even though it shows thumbnails (small pictures) is actually sending ALL of the full-resolution images to the browser before you click on any of them. You can tell by how long it takes to display the thumbnail page but clicking causes the full-res page to display instantly.

it looks like all of these are dead links. jersey looker shows a pineapple, and the ratwell site only seems to have illustrations, not the actual part numbers

I've been working on an update to the part manual that was listed in the original post as "T2 68-72/ wo/numbers". That link is probably dead as I changed the domain name of my server a few years ago.

The site is actually through 73 model year, based on the visual catalog VW put out in 72. It uses the descriptions from the early part list and some from the late fiche. You can search the site for part numbers, hover over the numbers in the illustrations for part descriptions, or bring up a list view for each illustration.

It took awhile to get it all implemented. Any feedback etc is appreciated

Outstanding! Seems to work pretty good in Edge. Totally messed up in my Firefox 78. I see a lot of ? entries in parts list pages. I cannot enlarge the diagrams in Edge, but that might be a text-only zoom setting in Edge.

Ok, thats pretty cool. I was just going to ask if there was a follow up with the PN - then read the hover over the # part - LOVE IT! Cool Great work.

Weird — I only tested it on ff for mac I guess but it works ok on ff 95.0.2, and the text zoom works ok. I do see the search is bumping down when it's zoomed in.. I'll have to see how it looks on Windows ff at work.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

edit — I see what you're saying — scale the illustrations — yeah it's set to optimize your screen size. It is fully responsive and works well on tablet and mobile both in portrait and landscape, but I can see how the ability to zoom in on the images would be handy.

There are parts that are not in the early parts book and are listed as just no longer available in the late. These are typically parts that are 1973 only, like the Auto trans pages are full of ?'s. If anyone has a this info, like an earlier fiche than what is available currently anywhere online, I'd love to see it.

behavior in Firefox for me is common to pages of this type, it will not scale when I cannot read a part number. However the work around is click thru the pages to get to the page one wants, then right click, and open in a new tab. The page will open and can be scaled with ctrl-mouse wheel to whataever size one needs. Get the index number and go back to the original page.

Thanks for adding another fiche source. One can never have enough. I mostly use

http://www.michaelknappmann.de/bulli/michaelk/vw_bus_d/fiche/t200100.html

http://www.jerseylooker.com/FicheDump/LateBaywindow/LateBay-Main.html

http://www.jerseylooker.com/FicheDump/EarlyBaywindow/EarlyBay-Main.html

and ETKA. Will add this one to the list.
