I bet I could make more HP with a Weber 38mm DGAS on a progressive manifold. I can feel my spark plugs fouling just looking at it!

That carb setup is NUTS
Yeah, it does not make sense and it will never run right on any normal vw engine, BUT, it is so over the top it's like a new record.
That's snorkelstang's intake right there |

If you were to not hook up 1 carb and block all the passages in one throat of the other carb so it only flows on one side it would proably run ok.

That negates the biggest advantage of a dual-carb setup, having a hole per cylinder. _________________ 1967 VW Beetle

Technically, there's still one hole per cylinder. They just aren't seperated. Like the Offspring said: Ya gotta keep 'em seperated! _________________ Build thread: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=212747

WHAT!!!
No carb heat? It'll never run well without carb heat.
Come to think of it - it probably won't run with heat - not well anyway. Nothing more than a large funnel shoehorning air/fuel into the stock end castings.
Someone with more $'s than brains probably will buy it. I wonder if it'll clear the deck lid. _________________ 71 Ghia Coupe - stock body - no rust! Powered by a 2110 W/Dual HPMX 44's - Rancho Pro Street Transaxle - A/C by Gilmore

Just Plain Ridiculous! It shows how little understanding the creator/owner has in regards to carbureting an engine :0(

I think he is just trying to get rid of other junk parts.
Stock end castings = free
Johnny 4 skin manifold = worthless
Duals to plenum adapter = who the hell thought this shit up?
Dells = probably bought them not knowing they were side draft |
